Seawind´s discography at Vintage Retro Spot!! First we come with their debut from 1976, a killer batch of jazzy Soul tracks all the way through!! The set's easily one of the hippest to come out on CTI in the 70´s, although with the record's strong use of vocals, it also feels a bit more like some of the work coming out on Fantasy at the time, with lots of jazzy riffing underneath in the rhythms, and solidly soulful vocals over the top!! Then we bring Window Of A Child from 1977, a great little album of jazzy Soul, the second that Seawind cut for CTI, and very much an extension of the first!! The album's got a breezy West Coast Fusion sound, kind of like work that was coming out of Fantasy Records, or some of the more obscure independent fusion albums at the time!! Following, 1979´s Light The Light and 1980´s Seawind, two bits of Fusion-tinged Soul, produced with a sunny groove, and featuring some of the tightest tunes from Seawind to date!! Pauline Wilson sings lead vocals on these albums, in a cool breezy mode that fits well with the compressed instrumentation and the overall groove is polished, but still with the same soulful depth as the group's other works!! ReplyDeleteCIA is not about jazz. For "Hines", it's about terror, libel, and involving music lovers in his stalking activities. Anyone supporting "Hines" risks a visit from the authorities all-too-soon.
"Hines" is an unemployed, mentally ill person from New Jersey masquerading himself as a jazz fan. Though nobody knows his real name, his voice can be heard at Bruno's Alert Blog. Well-known is his IP address under which "Hines" spammed literally hundreds (!) of jazz blogs with pedophile comments.
